Using whole body 3D vectra imaging and dermoscopy carried out by trained melanographers, sixty-two melanomas were diagnosed in Rockhampton, Central Queensland over a 32 month period. Images were reported remotely by dermatologists in private practice. Characteristics including the ratio of in situ to invasive melanoma, and postcodes of patients diagnosed with melanoma are presented. Significant travel miles were saved for patients and the service provided peace of mind for patients with dysplastic and multiple naevi.
