I am a second-year PhD student in the Statistical Genetics Group, at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute. I hold a Master of Philosophy degree in Statistics. Before starting my PhD, I worked as a Statistical Officer and Lecturer (temporary basis) in Statistics at Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka. I am passionate about utilizing my statistical knowledge to solve real-world issues. In my PhD project, I explore overlapping genetics of melanoma and nevus count to provide further insights into the genetic and pathway mechanisms critical in melanoma, offering valuable implications for melanoma risk assessment.
