Anne Gately
As a Stage IV melanoma survivor, given a prognosis of 12 to 24 months, Anne Gately has real-life experience of the devastating effects that sun exposure can have. She is passionate about reducing the incidence of skin cancer in Australia by changing Australia’s cultural narrative. She’s had a career of over 30 years in advertising and marketing and has recently released her book ‘Sunburnt. A memoir of sun, surf and skin cancer’ which not only chronicles her melanoma journey but highlights how Australia’s cultural norms are priming us all for skin cancer. Anne is a member of the Consumer Advisory Group at Melanoma Patients Australia.
